Raffi Aharonian is Managing Director at Catalyst Strategic Advisors, where oversees the firm’s Sponsor Coverage Practice.

With over 20 years of relevant experience, Raffi brings a unique perspective. Most recently, he was an operator who successfully grew and sold a family-owned business to a large, publicly traded company (Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers). Prior to that, he served on the investment team at a $4bn+ investment fund. This diverse background, coupled with his deep expertise across Catalyst’s industry areas of focus, positions him as a top professional in the industry and an invaluable resource to Catalyst’s financial sponsor network.

Raffi holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Economics from UC Berkeley. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California (CPA – inactive).

Raffi lives in Los Angeles with his wife LeAnn and their two boys, Anthony and Nicolas. In his free time, Raffi enjoys practicing guitar and playing tennis.
