Graham Rives is a Managing Director at Catalyst Strategic Advisors. He leads advisory and transaction execution efforts across the built environment, specifically the facility services and building products sectors, working closely with business owners to help them navigate the M&A process and achieve exceptional outcomes. His approach emphasizes aligning strategic positioning with client goals and identifying the right long-term partner to support the next phase of growth for the business. 

Graham brings more than 15 years of investment banking experience, advising public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alternatives. He has extensive experience working with founder- and family-owned businesses and a deep understanding of the built environment. Before joining Catalyst, Graham was a Managing Director at Zelman & Associates, where he led the firm’s building products investment banking practice and sponsor coverage efforts. His prior experience also includes senior roles at Harris Williams and Deutsche Bank. 

Graham holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bates College and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. 

He lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife, Jodi, and their two children. Outside the office, Graham enjoys hiking with his family, coaching youth sports, and spending time on the golf course.
