John Hoesley is a Managing Director at Catalyst Strategic Advisors, where he is responsible for leading client engagements, streamlining deal execution processes, and driving successful outcomes. John focuses on helping clients understand and manage the M&A process, achieving optimal outcomes by guiding them in successfully presenting their stories to potential buyers. Through his commitment to this role, he is helping Catalyst attain a leadership position in its focus sectors.

With more than 20 years of finance experience spanning investment banking, private equity, and commercial banking, John is uniquely positioned to assist clients with a variety of solutions. Before joining Catalyst, John co-founded and successfully grew the technology lending practice at Sterling National Bank, transforming it into a national leader in under three years prior to its sale to Bridge Bank.

John graduated with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, IL.

John lives in Chicago with his wife and three daughters. In his free time, you can find him watching his daughters play travel softball or golf.
